Timothy Owen

He was born February 9, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Glenn and Cecelia Owen. He was a 1967 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was united in marriage on July 8, 1967, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Gloria J. Owen, who survives at home. Tim worked for Westinghouse/ABB from 1967 as an Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement in 2005. He loved playing golf, watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with his family and grandchildren.

He was inducted into the East Boros Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1990 for his contribution on the football field of North Braddock Scott High School in 1961-62 and the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1963-67. He continued his love of football by officiating the sport for 25 years with the Missouri State High School Activities Association.

Along with his wife, Gloria, Tim is also survived by his three children: Tina Neff of Springfield, Mo., Stacey Owen-Rush (Patrick) of Kansas City, Mo., and David Owen (Sherrie) of Jefferson City, Mo.; a brother: Paul Owen (Donna) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two sisters: Barbara Trusilo (Jim) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Estelle Zewe (Tom) of Jefferson City, Mo.; six grandchildren: Jacob, Paige, Chad, Anna, John and Emryk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
